Currency Converter ג€“ Live & Bank Rates (Chrome extension) ֲ· Effective 26 September 2026

Currency Converter is a browser extension published by David S. It converts amounts between currencies. This page explains what the extension does with data. In short: it doesn't collect any personal data.

Data the extension collects

None. The extension has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking, and it doesn't read the web pages you visit.

Data stored on your device

To remember your preferences, the extension saves the following in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local):

This information never leaves your device and isn't sent to the publisher or anyone else. Removing the extension deletes it.

Network requests

The extension downloads public exchange-rate tables from the source you select:

These are plain requests for rate data. No personal information, amounts you type, or browsing data is included. Like any website request, the rate provider can see your IP address and browser type; their own privacy policies apply to that.

Sharing and sale of data

No data is sold, shared or transferred to third parties, and no data is used for any purpose other than converting currencies in the extension.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
